“Our movie stories better than Bollywood, Hollywood” – Osuofia

The Nollywood movie legend, Nkem Owoh a.k.a Osuofia, on Thursday described Nigerian movies’ stories as far better than that of their Bollywood and Hollywood counterparts.

Osuofia made the remark in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu.

According to him, Nigerian movies present real life stories and happenings around them, so it is wrong to compare the quality of Nigerian films with those coming from the advanced countries.

He said that Nigerian film producers were only using technology imported from such advanced countries.

“The storyline we take is better than any story from any woods, we don’t have the technology, but we have the story.

“We are a third world country coming up, and people should give us kudos for the level we have attained.

“I believe, with the stories and creativity among us, if we get the needed technology, we will go places”.

The thespian stated that with the available technology in place, Nollywood had been to the next level of improvement.

Osuofia, who rated Nollywood high, said, “If you check the time and how we started, you give kudos because we are making a tremendous progress in the industry.

“With the kind of technology we have now, I believe Nollywood has a very far distance to go positively”.

He, however, called for patience among upcoming actors, saying they should follow their progress gradually.

“If it is not your calling, move away’”. Owoh said.

BBNaija: KellyRae, Topher, and Ozee Among 9 Nominated for Eviction

Nine housemates, including KellyRae, Topher, and Ozee, have been nominated for possible eviction in the BBNaija ‘No Loose Guard’ season. Following the Head of House (HoH) games, which saw Tjay emerge victorious, Biggie instructed housemates to nominate two others for eviction.

KellyRae received the most nominations with six, followed closely by Sooj and Victoria, who each had five nominations. Kassia garnered four, while Ben, Ozee, Chizoba, and Shaun were nominated twice. Onyeka, Topher, and Nelly received one nomination each.

However, Topher’s inclusion in the eviction list was due to disobeying Biggie’s rules by only nominating one housemate instead of two. As a result, he faces possible eviction alongside KellyRae, Kassia, Ben, Chizoba, Shaun, Victoria, Sooj, and Ozee.

One or two housemates will be evicted during the live eviction show on Sunday. So far, 14 housemates have been evicted from the reality show. The first pair to exit was Team Tami (Damilola and Toyosi) on August 4, followed by Team Ndi Nne (Chinne and Nne).

Team Streeze (Mayor and Tobi Forge) and Team Flourish (Ruthie and DJ Flo) left on August 18, while Team Zinwe (Zion and Chinwe) and Team Radicals (Fairme David and Mitchky) were evicted on August 25 and September 1, respectively.
