Israeli Gaza Attacks With U.S.-Supplied Weapons May Constitute War Crimes – Report
A recent study by a U.S. think tank suggests that at least 20 Israeli military strikes in Gaza, involving U.S.-supplied weapons, could likely be classified as war crimes.
The research, published on Monday by the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, found that Israeli forces used U.S. weapons in attacks targeting refugee camps, schools, and hospitals, as well as in disproportionate assaults on military sites. These actions may constitute violations of international humanitarian law, resulting in significant civilian casualties.
According to the report, Israel’s military heavily relies on U.S. arms, using American-made aircraft like the F-35, F-16, and F-15 to deliver bombs such as the MK-84, MK-83, and MK-82. These bombs are often equipped with U.S.-produced Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) guidance systems.
Israeli military operations, which have expanded to the West Bank, have resulted in more than 40,400 deaths in Gaza, as reported by local health authorities.

Yobe Govt Donates N100m to Support Borno Flood Victims
Yobe State Governor, His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, has extended a N100 million donation to the Borno State Government to aid victims of the recent Maiduguri floods. The announcement was made during a sympathy visit to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in Maiduguri on Saturday.
In addition to the state donation, Governor Buni also pledged a personal contribution of food items worth N50 million to assist those affected by the floods. He described the humanitarian crisis as devastating and urged everyone to come forward with support.
“Yobe and Borno states are like twins, sharing similar hardships. We must stand by each other in times of need,” Buni stated.
The Yobe Governor also expressed condolences for those who lost their lives in the disaster and wished a quick recovery for the injured.
Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to Governor Buni and the people of Yobe State for their generosity and solidarity. He highlighted the strong bond between the two states, noting that Buni’s administration has further strengthened the unity between Borno and Yobe.
“The people of Yobe and Borno are one family, and this support reinforces that connection. We deeply appreciate the gesture,” Zulum said.

Joining Atiku is Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, both of whom are in Edo to bolster support for the party’s candidate, Asue Ighodalo, ahead of the September 21 election.
