The pride of Nigeria, Mailantarki Care FC (MCFC) has recorded another history at the International scene after a scintillating performance which ensured a 3-0 victory over Lyngdal FC of Norway on Saturday at the Nord Energy Arena Stadium in the sports city of Hjørring, Denmark.
This is contained in a press statement issued on Saturday to newsmen in Gombe by Adamu Usman Ahmed, Mailantarki Care FC media manager.
Adamu said Miko Dalha’s startling display from the start of the tourney continued through to the final as he bagged brace to emerge the highest goal scorer with 8 goals in the 2024 edition of the championship.
“Another promising forward, ex-Nigerian U-17 National team forward, Tijjani Mohammed stole the show off Miko Dalha despite being introduced in the second half, the powerful young star produced an immediate by dribbling past two of his markers deep inside box before slotting home to increase Mailantarki’s lead. The forward put icing on the cakes with an assist that helped Miko snatch his second goal, the performance that earned him the best player’s award.
“Lyngdal FC players were unable to respond throughout the entire duration of the game as the Light Boys completed double on two Norwegian teams after beating Vidar FK in the 2022 final.”
Adamu said Mailantarki Care FC, being the 2024 Dana Cup Champions, would now proceed to Oslo for 2024 Norway cup, kicking off on Sunday (28th July, 2024),
He added that as the reigning champions heading to Norway, the lads were favourite to win the double, the same feat achieved in 2022 which earned Mailantarki Care FC the slogan ‘Double Champions’.
