”A week or less ago, we promised to come back here to give immediate support to the people who were affected by the unfortunate incident. This isn’t politics, it’s just a coincidence that it is a political season.

”It’s for us to make a clear stand that we are not about the ethnic or religious division, we are a government that is people-centred and working to make things better for them, no matter what party or where they come from.

”As long as they are law abiding, keep to laws guiding the environment and respect the heritage of where they do business, they will always be accommodated.

”This will also send a clear message to people who want to divide us that we won’t let a little number disunite a large number of people, we won’t give them a space in Lagos and in our government,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The Chairman, Ajeromi-Ifelodun LCDA, Mr Fatai Ayoola, thanked the governor for keeping to his promise of helping the people.

Ayoola promised that they would reciprocate his good gestures by voting for him on Saturday.

”We assure you that in Ajegunle, we will all within the ambit of the law to canvass for you because you have done so much for us.

“You rebuilt the Ibafon and Mba-Cardoso roads, and you also gave us a new stadium called the Maracana Stadium for our youths.

”We are grateful and we would forever remain grateful for your stewardship and leadership that you have shown to the true people of Ajegunle,” he said.

In his response, the Chairman of Akere Auto Spare Parts Market, Mr Izuchukwu Uba, thanked Sanwo-Olu for his gesture, promising that the traders’ votes would be for the governor.

”All of us here must come out and vote for our Excellency full time. We believe in you now fully, because before they were trying to confuse us, but now we know what you can do for us,” Uba said.

GROUP PASS VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON BELLO MATAWALLE, VOW TO SEEK HIS REMOVAL FROM OFFICE

GROUP PASS VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON BELLO MATAWALLE, VOW TO SEEK HIS REMOVAL FROM OFFICE

The Northern Youth Progressive Network has passed an overwhelming vote of no confidence on the Minister for Defense H.E. Bello Muhammad Matawalle in the face of prevailing situation in the country with the rising waves of crimes and criminalities and unrest especially in the Northern region of the country.

In a press release made available to the media, the Leader of the groups Hon. Yunus Hassan Muhammad said that the Northern people no more believes in the competent and ability of the Minister to secure them and the entire country more especially the fact that he is from the north and one should have expect that coming from a region that is worse hit by insecurity and unrest and been a former governor of one of the must terrorized state, he should by now nip the matters of insecurity in the bud by way of finding a lasting solution to the problem.

‘We are resolute in our quest to advocate for the removal of H.E. Bello Matawalle from office and replace him with a competent person

Over the past ten months since his appointment, it has become increasingly clear that Bello Matawalle’s actions and decisions are not aligned with the best interests of our country. Specific concerns include the growing increase of insecurity and other menace in Northern region

These issues have collectively undermined trust and confidence in his ability to effectively lead the Ministry of Defence.

The ongoing challenges and setbacks attributed to Bello Matawalle leadership failures have created a toxic environment, hindered economic progress, and demoralized Citizenry.

Given the gravity of these concerns, it is our firm belief that the continued tenure of H.E. Bello Matawalle is detrimental to the Country’s future. Therefore, we advocate for his immediate removal and the appointment of a new leader who can restore confidence and guide us towards a more positive and productive direction.

I urge our dear president, H. E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, to take this matter seriously and to act swiftly in the best interest of our country

We shall in the coming days grant a world press conference and escalate this advocacy as we have already mobilized all our members across the northern region and the country at large to tackle this burden that has bedeviled us and take it off our shoulder’.

Long live the Northern region, long live the federal Republic of Nigeria.

Hon. Yunus Hassan Muhammad
Director General
