Big Brother Titans Premieres Jan. 15

Leading entertainment company, MultiChoice Nigeria says special Big Brother edition tagged: ‘Big Brother Titans’ (BBTitans) will begin Jan. 15, 2023, live on DStv channel 198 and GOtv Channel 29.

The report gathered that the special edition of the Big Brother franchise will feature selected housemates from Nigeria and South Africa in one House, playing the game for the ultimate prize.

Announcing the commencement of the show and prize money, Chief Executive Officer, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, disclosed that BBTitans edition would run for 72 days, and the winner would cart home a prize of 100,000 dollars cash.

“BBTitans is a special edition of the widely loved Big Brother show. This special edition is a fusion of two TV phenomena, BBNaija and BB Mzansi.

“We are bringing housemates from two giant nations, Nigeria and South Africa, under one roof, to give African entertainment audiences a show of intense drama like never before.

“We are telling our audience to be ready for the biggest takeover on TV, starting from Jan.15. It promises an abundance of Nigerian and South African swag, banter, romance, and everything in between.“This is a meeting of the Titans, and the winner will take home a sum of 100,000 dollars cash and other amazing prizes. As usual, the viewers on DStv and GOtv will be able to vote and keep their favourite housemates on the show.

“The winner will also be determined by viewers’ votes across Africa after 72 days,” Ugbe said.Dr Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels for MultiChoice Nigeria said BBTitan would be a special edition.

“This is the best time to bring the two giants together.“It is called the titans because the housemates that will emerge from here will be the giants that will celebrate the brand, the fusion, the unity and collaborations between the two countries.“We will still have our key elements like the head of house challenges, the task, eviction show, Saturday night parties and nominations shows.

“Everyone has a different culture but that is what unites us, as a storyteller, our plan is to showcase the diversity of cultures, characters, behaviors of people across the continent.“It will be really interesting to see how they will accommodate with each other.

“The viewers should watch the show with an open mind, we are committed to a very fun, engaging and exciting season, “she said.NAN reports that the BBTitans edition is sponsored by Flutterwave, Bamboo and Lotto Star and will be held in South Africa.Popular BBNaija host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Mzansi host, Lawrence Maleka will co-host this debut season.Big Brother titans will also be available to stream on Showmax.

Nigerian crossdresser and social media influencer Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has filed a ₦1 billion lawsuit against Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, over defamation allegations involving an AI-generated audio recording.

The lawsuit, announced on Bobrisky’s Instagram account on Sunday, alleges that VeryDarkMan released an audio clip that falsely linked Bobrisky to illicit relationships with high-profile figures, including politicians and law enforcement officials.

Bobrisky’s legal team claims that VeryDarkMan used the crossdresser’s name and social media influence to make unverified claims for personal gain. The legal statement reads: “Our client has informed us that in your quest for social media stardom, you have continued to exploit his name, personality, and social media influence to create media buzz for your personal gains.”
